pulsar 180

The Bajaj Pulsar is available in 5 different engine variants. We have already seen the lower end 135cc and 150cc bikes. Today, we will see how good the mileage delivered by the 180cc DTS-i variant of Bajaj Pulsar is. Pulsar 180 is one of the original models being first introduced way back in 2001 along with the 150cc variant.

Yamaha-FZ

The Yamaha FZ-16 was one of the earliest bikes reviewed on MileageInfo. The FZ-S that we are discussing today is an improvisation upon the same bike and comes with distinct features like a front visor. I was not too impressed with the FZ-16 when I first reviewed it. The bike offers a city mileage of just around 38-42 kmpl on most counts. We have had 180cc bikes that offer a better economy. While the FZ-S is not too different from the FZ-16 on many aspects relating to the engine, let us look at it independently and see if it is worth the buck.

New 2015 Yamaha Fazer

It has emerged that Yamaha India dealers have silently launched the new Fazer FI V2.0. The new Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 price has been pegged at INR 83,850 (ex-showroom, Delh).  As we reported earlier, the new Fazer benefits from a new front fairing. Along with a new fairing, the bike also gets an engine cowl. Along with these new panels, the bike also gets all the new features that made their debut on the FZ FI V2.0 (read – all-digital instrument cluster, split seats, split grabrail, rear tyre hugger and new exhaust).

yamaha bikes r1

Yamaha is back. After riding the latest R1 at Sydney Motorsports Park in Australia last February, we walked away amazed, but we also left with a huge list of unanswered questions. Racetrack press introductions allow a motorcycle to be tested near its limits, exploring aspects of performance that are virtually impossible to sample on public roads. But therein lies the problem: Racetracks don’t do a good job of indicating how motorcycles work in the real world of traffic, commuting, imperfect pavement, and speed limits.

apache rtr 220

Team ICB’s roving eye in the sky, EarthFusion, has swooped down on the Vehicle Research and Development Establishment(VRDE) at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. For the uninitiated, VRDE is a premier automobile testing and homologation facility in India, much like ARAI of Pune. EarthFusion notes that the TVS Apache 220/250 has begun initial testing at VRDE and upon confirmation from out sources, we have a bunch of possible new details about TVS Motors’ new flagship motorcycle. The TVS Apache 220/250 is expected to be launched in India during 2014-15. Here are a few details of the Apache 220/250 our sources have divulged to us.

bullet classic 350

Mileage / average fuel efficiency of Royal Enfield Classic 350 is approx. 40-45 kmpl.

Bike's mileage heavily depend on riding quality. Also Highway mileage and City mileage differs. Traffic condition also impect mileage of Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Suzuki Hayabusa

The Hayabusa is designed with a view to be the fastest accelerating bike on the planet with fantastic wind-cheating ability. Its standout, bulbous, lengthy style is instantly recognisable.
Up front, an oversized but shapely mudguard goes upwards into the headlight cluster which with a 70mm projector-type high beam works brilliantly at night. The indicators sit flush in the fairing, while the pair of smoothly rounded rearview mirrors work well even at high speeds.

Honda CBR 500R

Many people looking to get into the hobby of motorcycling often smirk when it is suggested that they look into a fantastic bike like the CBR 250, Ninja 250, or the Ninja 300. This is most often the case when the soon-to-be motorcycle rider weighs over 200 lbs… “How will the bike carry me? It’s so small!” they often lament.

I imagine you could ride this thing for years just doing the regular maintenance and you wouldn’t have any problems. Most people don’t own their first bike forever though, so if it comes time to sell this beast you will be pleasantly surprised to find that it has held it’s value well. Of course as soon as you leave the dealer floor the bike will depreciate instantly, but beyond that initial hit most 250/300/500cc bikes don’t lose much money over time. They are also easier to sell through a private party because a person need only come up with $4,000 or $5,000 instead of $9,000 or $10,000 like you might need for a modern 600cc/1000cc supersport.

Bajaj Pulsar 200NS

Bajaj Auto had restricted the supply of Pulsar 200NS from mid-2015 in order to make way for newer models such as the Pulsar AS200 and the Pulsar RS200. The naked street version of the Pulsar is reportedly getting readied for a relaunch with fuel injected engine.
The current Pulsar NS200 is powered by the 199.5 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops 23.1bhp at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm at 8,000rpm. The same engine in Pulsar RS200 with fuel injection in place develops 24bhp at 9,750rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm mated to six-speed manual transmission. At present, it is not clear which of these specifications would be used in new Pulsar NS200, reports

Other tech specs of the motorcycle will remain the same. The Pulsar NS200 measures 2,017mm in length, 804 mm in width and 1,075mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,363mm. The motorcycle weighs 125kg and has a ground clearance of 169mm. it is employed with telescopic forks at front while rear gets mono suspension. The braking is taken care of by 280mm disc at front, while the rear gets 230mm disc.
